Guest
How much were the tickets? Not sold out, only sold lower tier, 55K?
Marina's Rolls Royce
On the advice of my solicitor, I am not going to comment on female footballers.
TRL
How much were the tickets? Not sold out, only sold lower tier, 55K? No idea. But if that is not a statement to the men's team I don't know what is.

RedM
How much were the tickets? Not sold out, only sold lower tier, 55K? I read somewhere that the tickets were limited due to ongoing engineering work, think one or more Wembley tube stations are closed. Was that our ladies ex manager who went to England? bristolcitysweden
I prefer womens handball. As good as male handball technically but fairer. Womens football is at U16 level at the best.

This is correct, would have no doubt sold out if it wasn't for this
bristolcitysweden
Gas girls will play Frankfurt. Scoreline over two games is more likely to be 0-10 than 0-5.

JM91
I am fully in support of the modern women's game and to be completely honest I'm rather proud of the achievements of the Bristol Academy Ladies in the past few seasons. However, this is simply another case of diabolically poor journalism. Journalists are scum, they set others up to fail - it makes two stories out of one non story. 55,000 for a one of womens match is fantastic, but don't be so naive to compare female football to male. Lets ignore political correctness and the champagne socialism of how badly women are supposedly treated in modern britain... womens football is nowhere near the standard of mens, if it were then there would be no need to segregate the genders. DaveF
This can only be good news, good luck to them. England seems so behind the times in its perception of women's sport it's ridiculous...

cottsciderarmy
Some turn out this, 55,000 to watch a women's game of Football. Shame losing 1-0 already. On a better note, Liverpool getting thrashed by Palace.

cottsciderarmy
Keepers were Okay to be honest, German keeper didn't have to do too much. It was actually entertaining and enjoyable to watch. Some of the German players were stunning as well, definitely worth watching. The English players however were not the prettiest of sights. Admin phantom Posted November 24, 2014 Admin Report Share Posted November 24, 2014 Thought it odd it was being advertised as being a 55,00 sell out, yet the final attendance was only 45,619.
