CIDER NOT CIDRE Posted November 25, 2014 Report Share Posted November 25, 2014 There is a chinese/chippy on the way up to Parson Street from Ashton Gate if you want a conveniently placed one for your dinner or lunch. Never been in myself because I don't like my fish and chips from a Chinese, just 'ent right (call me old fashioned), but I've seen plenty of others come out there looking suitably happy with their chips. Winterstoke Road (5 minutes walk from ground) BUT, Not sure if the chippie is open on Sunday. If not, The Robins do a good cheese and onion roll to go with your cider! If you intend patronising one of Bristol's fine fried chipped potatoes & fish in batter establishments you would be well advised to ask in English & in an acceptable Bristolian way - 'fish & chips' won't cut it around these here parts young lady (or whatever?) you better learn Bristol Chip Shop Etiquette and use the correct vernacular...
