Phileas Fogg
Interesting - off the top of my head I can only think of him and Osborne as potential realistic centre back cover for first team (not including youth trainers). If he goes it leaves us a bit thin.. Wonder if that means a change of shape? Possibly a back
Monkeh
With December around the corner I suspect we are planning for the jam transfer window, El abd is one who could make way freeing wages for two perm signings, Cotts likes to get things done early,

Carey 6
Didn't think he played too bad when he's come on this season, does leave us with only Osbourne as cover, who I thought was injured. Bury 7th in league two, think he'll be a great signing for them.
Guest
Why is it interesting? Jesus christ, a change in our squad and personnel available is obviously interesting - interesting enough that you clicked on a thread concisely titled 'Adam El Abd to Bury'. The mind boggles, it truly does.
Robbored
You don't think it is? No I don't think it's remotely interesting. It's not as if El Abd has been a regular starter. In fact he's hardly featured at all. Therefore it's not a surprise to me that he's going out on loan.

jellyred
I think its interesting that a player we bought less than a year ago is now being loaned out to a league two team considering the investment in wages and fee etc. It may not be a 'surprise' but it is interesting especially as it means there are, presumably, other loan (or perm) signings to be made. Phileas Fogg
I reckon I could be.. El abd asked for a loan to get playing time.. Works for us with bury paying a portion of wages. A player has become available for loan who is better than El abd and the portion of wages bury will pay will go towards wages of said player on loan. Are you perhaps confusing 'surprise' with 'interesting'? If JET who has not been a regular starter and lets be honest hardly featured but for cameos went out on loan would that be remotely interesting? What if you swap JET for Pack, Cunningham, Osbourne, Burns, Wagstaff.

Not sure Bury would/could afford to contribute much, certainly not much of El Abd's wages. But I think you might be right in El Abd and/or the club just fancy getting him out there getting some games. Not sure there is much morein it than that. I would be surprised if he was flogged in January.

Logically if it was just for playing time with a view to an easy recall it would make sense to loan him to Exeter/Cheltenham/Plymouth or somewhere

'Orns
Decent move for El Abd, a club on the up, apparently they play some decent football too Hope he comes back fully match fit, with some good form under his belt and challenges for a 1st team spot. If not then I'd like to think that both club and player would look to do a deal in Jan and everyone can move on
