What Time Does Coach Get Back From Wembley...

I know a draw after 90 mins might mess the schedule a bit, but does anyone on here know the ETA back at BS3 for the JPT coaches?

My son's coming up from Plymouth... but has to get back there on Sunday night for an early Monday a.m. start. Last train from TM to Plymouth is 21:40... and he wants to know if that's 'do-able'?

would expect they would be back around 8ish.

Very optimistic !

If parking at Wembley Stadium it can take anything up to a couple of hours just to get away from the stadium

If we win the Walsall fans will get the head start to get on the road earlier!

If there is extra time and pens could be looking at near a 6 o'clock finish - in that instance could be anything up to 10pm to get back !

Stick him on the train at Paddington?

Good shout, they leave at **:57 minutes past each hour (up to 19:57) direct from Paddington to Plymouth, 3:30 hour journey.

Then it's the sleeper train at 23:50 that trawls down to Plymouth arriving at 05:35

JPT straight to pens if level at 90 mins!

I think for the play off final it was well over an hour and we were still inching our way out of Wembley car park. Not sure if it was then or the time before that we then got caught in traffic going to the Mosque and/or Ikea. Not a quick place to exit from it seems. But having recently walked down from Wembley to the tube station there are signs everywhere saying 30 mins wait from this point etc.

There are, Em, but they tend to err on the pessimistic side.

For the play off final my Grandad drove up, parked in the Wembley car park, and at full time got out the ground and drove off in no time with next to no traffic. How on earth did that happen? Went to an England game the other year with only like 60k in attendance and the traffic was absolutely horrendous

For the play off finals you'll get a lot more staying behind after the final whistle - one set of jubilant fans, and in our case, one set disappointed but still on a high after a remarkable season cheering the players, plus our first trip there so many savouring it.

For England games you get 60k people bored off their knackers, bored of hearing royal britainnia, for those that go often they are over the 'glamour' of Wembley (and actually realise it's a pretty poor stadium), sick of kids all around them watching 20 minutes of football and are just waiting for the final whistle in order to leave.

Would be my guess.

Good points well made, still thought there would have been at least a few difficulties getting out though. Did a lot of City fans stay back at the end then? I just wanted to get out at the final whistle, although the players deserved more than that after such a huge effort

So true about England games haha. I definitely won't be going to another one anytime soon! Hated it, only went as we received free tickets anyway
