He's pretty handy with the ball at his feet so could play there in my opinion, we played him centre mid in his final game. Either way he'd be great competition for Flint, what happens if he gets injured? Everyone hates El-Abd and with Osborne I'm not convinced he could do a great job in the Championship

Not EVERYONE hates El-Abd.

Bit harsh.

He's just a shit footballer and nowhere near 'our' level.

Osbourne? Good guy, not good enough for us by SC's standards. Could do a job helping Murray as a kit man perhaps? Bantsamillion.

Well not long ago he was performing at Brighton much above 'our level'. You could even argue he's our only proven Championship defender. He's only played a handful of games with us and in those he was chucked in the deep end at LCB, a position he is clearly not suited to or familiar with. The problem with him is that the only position he would fit in currently is as the middle centre back, but Flint has that position nailed on. Saying that Flint was also a shit footballer 12 months ago, wasn't he?

Here goes then.  This is a list of players that would be in my database.  I'd be happy if City sign any of these, but of course, they may well have a completely different list of targets.  Just so you know, this is a list of players whom myself and a close group of mates have either watched in person or whom we have very close links to (whether that be other players, managers, agents, fellow scouts, various other contacts within the game), so the usual dull drones of 'played football manager lately' do not apply (although I do anticipate this anyway, ha ha).  Suffice to say, each one of these has been researched by me or my scouting team, so they're not plucked out of the air.

Just to caveat this - I do not expect City to sign all, some, any or none of these, but this is my current database of what I think are in most cases realistic and feasible targets, whether permanent or loan.  Not all would 1st team starters immediately, some would start now, others maybe u21's for a while, some are a long-shot.  There are plenty more on my database who are currently not available in any possible way.

The following are current Premier League players whom I'd enquire about the possibility of a season-long loan (which would be much more likely now we are a Championship club) :

Jordy Hiwula - 20 - Man City - ST

Conor McAleny - 22 - Everton - ST

Chris Wood - 23 - Leicester - ST

Duncan Watmore - 21 - Sunderland - ST/RW

Adam Armstrong - 18 - Newcastle - ST

So, of all those, if I had the choice I'd go for Lee Nicholls (GK), Alfie Mawson (CB), Curtis Nelson (CB), Lee Evans (CM), Jed Wallace (AM), Ryan Christie (AM), Dominic Samuel (ST), Tom Nicholls (ST).

And of the loan list any of Jordan Rossiter, Matt Grimes, Sam Gallagher, George Waring, Jordy Hiwula.

I see two of Harry's targets have joined some mighty great teams!! Calum Butcher joining Burton and Remie Streete joining Port Vale, amazing

Mmmm...can't ever remember mentioning those 2.  You must have me mixed up with someone else. (Have I taken the tone of your email the wrong way, apologies if so, but if not, why the animosity?)

From my list of targets, so far :

Ben Purrington possibly heading to Norwich.

Tendayi Darikwa close to a move to Leeds.

Regan Poole trialling at Liverpool.

Brad Potts has moved to Blackpool.

Jed Wallace has moved to Wolves.

I'd have been happy with any of those.

You got any links to back this up Alex?

From memory it was in fact 'Ciderbeans' who mentioned Streete along with that crock Ryan Taylor & another for us to seriously look at?!?

As per Butcher then I would be very surprised if Harry's 'Suggested' some 24 yr old Jock defender who he probably knows is no better than L1 anyway!

Over the last couple of days that trusted source, Twitter, has banded about the names of Niko Kranjear and Dan Burn heading for BS3

Burn is the centre half from Fulham?? Was at Yeovil when they got promoted, I think? Pretty sure he was linked with us last summer too?

Krancjar seems the most unlikely of SC/KB signings, so there's probably some truth in it!!

Not a rumour but Bradley Dack from gillingham would be a good signing Imo. Combative, good on the ball and the right age. Thought he looked good in the games at the gate last year. Would be decent in a three and would compliment smith and freeman, offers a bit more going forward from pack from what I've seen.

I agree, hope we're looking at him.
