How Wrong They Were!

I thought this one was a little pearle of wisdom................

"The man's an awful manager, he might save you from going down, but you'd rather stab yourself in the eyes than watch how his team play football, in fact, if I were you I'd invest in a neck brace.

Good luck."

Having watched the last game of the season, this is my favourite post:

"I've no love for Brizzle, but I'm so so sorry.

1. What is his preferred formation and style of play?

8-2 formation - LAUNCH! HOOF!"

8-2 ironically the correct score of our last game!!

Perhaps the Forest faithful don't appreciate that Cotterill has recruited players to fit his preferred style of play at City. Obviously he wasn't able to do that at Forest and fell to hoof ball as a result.

As for man management - it's an easy to do a good job when your team is winning. Much more difficult when your team is struggling.

Doncaster will say SO'D is the best manager they've ever had. Reading will say Coppout is the best manager they've had. St Johnstone and Aberdeen will tell you that McInnes is a great manager. Pulis is clearly a decent manager for keeping a team in the prem. Sometimes it just clicks for managers at certain clubs and not at others.

A team? Three teams.

The man is an complete and utter moron and will have no idea beyond sticking the tallest, strongest players you have on the pitch, regardless if they're being played out of position.

Nail on the head. What was he thinking, making our tallest strongest defender get up the pitch, in some deluded hope that he might score goals? That's what strikers are for, not defenders! Utter Moron.

He wasn't a big name for Forest, they are a fickle bunch and believe they should be in the top flight after a stint of success in the 80s.

Steve Cotterill was at the time, and still is the perfect fit for Bristol City.

I find it very strange how a lot of Forest fans do not have a good word to say about Steve Cotterill, when he took over there he saved them from certain relegation, as he did with us but was not given the chance to build his own side as he was sacked in the close season. They have short memories Brian Clough was a legen there and had some ordinary players who could only play for him (Hare, McGovern etc.) but he was a flop managing elsewhere like Leeds. If you get a glove that fits, you hold onto it and we have in our manager!!!
