reddogkev
Doing alright, aren't they? My question is, what would the score be if they ever played against the men? I'd say 8 - 1 to the men. Any takers for a surprise female victory? Anyway, here's hoping they can win the world cup.

Coxy27
I'd expect San Marino to beat the women fairly comfortably, and there's never really any danger of them scoring against us, so one thing I'm pretty sure of, is the Women would get nil. Just a quick edit, I'm not meaning to belittle the women at all, they've done fantastically well so far and I hope they win the World Cup! Men's football is a totally different game at the moment though.

CHIPLEY RED
In answer to the original question, if the full mens team played the full womens team the men would easilly win by 10 goals. However, thats not necessarily a fair comparison. If the full england team played us i'd expect them to rattle up 5 to 10 goals. As someone who has watched a lot of womens football the physical difference between boys and girls means the best boys will always beat the best girls - that may be sexist but it is fact. Womens football like all womens sport is different and we shouldn't try and compare we should just enjoy it for what it is. At least we are in the semi final of a world cup for the first time in 25 years.

Harry
The British men's heavyweight boxer would beat a women's heavyweight. A British male 1500 metre runner would beat his female counterpart. The England men's rugby team would beat the women's. Andy Murray would smash Laura Robson. Steve Backley threw the javelin further than Fatima Whitbread. Steve Redgrave can row his boat quicker than any female rower. Bradley Wiggins can ride a bike round a track faster than Laura Trott. Etc, etc, etc. Men's football and women's football are not comparable. Just like all sports. The men would win by a long margin.

Coxy27
Net Ball ? Just asking like. At University, many years ago, granted, myself and some friends who weren't netball players or even basketball players, just sportingly able males, played the women's team at netball. We won. I think the best males in the country at netball would comfortably beat the best women.

We had a netball-off against the girls in work many years ago and we took them apart. They all played every week, us lads didn't even know the rules. We still tore them a new one, so to speak. Phileas Fogg
3-1?! If the men played the women they could potentially beat them about 25-0 maybe more. The women would not be able to cope with the pace, strength and physicality. It would be like Bristol City seniors playing our under 14s. No comparison. Just because it's trendy to knock the men's team doesn't mean they aren't good players. They had an excellent 14/15 and can be a good side; we're just not quite as good as the very top international sides yet.
KilgoreRed
Would love to see the England Women's team take on a men's side at about the Mangos level. Would be an interesting comparison of styles. Women's better first touch and ball retention vs fitness and physicality. For me this is a harder one to call and unfortunately never likely to find out. Red-Robbo
Anyone watching the Germany - US game? It's L1 level at least, if not higher. Some lovely touches.
Coxy27
Anyone watching the Germany - US game? It's L1 level at least, if not higher. Some lovely touches. So you reckon if the USA or Germany women's team played against a mid table League One side, they would be a match for them? Or are you just saying their technical skills are on the same level? Whichever it is, I would wholeheartedly disagree, but the latter is far less ludicrous.

nebristolred
Yeah I'm all for backing women's football but the England women's team would be battered by any Football League side. It's not their fault of course, but that is the fact.
