Lack of Action Man
Strikes me as I've been openly quite active on this forum this summer, that bcfc must take up quite a large portion of my life even when the season is closed. Having a season ticket during the season means that most Saturday's, I'm following the side. I would be interested to know from fellow city fans, what's the most important event you've ever gotten out of to watch city? How many times have you cancelled dates with her indoors (or him for that matter) to go and watch the team? Just how far would we all go to Watch city?! Ohbasso
Luckily the wife's birthday and our anniversary is out of the football season but we've had many a row about me missing Valentine's Day for city.

stephenkibby.
jim I can't think that if you walked out of the church on your wedding day to get down the gate because the vicar took to long makes you an urber fan. Just makes you a nutter. The fact that at 60 this year that our result every Saturday makes or brakes my weekend shows my commitment to the cause. Plus the fact that iv inflicted the city onto my children is enough .

Plus the fact that iv inflicted the city onto my children is enough .Funny you should mention children. I come from a divided family, my father supports city and my mother rovers. My dad gave me the choice of either team (probably so he didn't get it in the neck from my mum). There was only ever going to be one choice Respect for your years of support fella! Superjack
Got my sixth-form head to postpone an exam so I could go to Forest for the first leg of the 89 league cup semi. Since then, other things have been more important. Did manage to persuade my non-City supporting girlfriend at the time to join me at AG for our promotion clinching game v Rotherham in 2007.... so swings and roundabouts.... Guest
After 50plus years of support I still follow City avidly, attendance at live games is now few and far between though. Been to most away grounds many of which aren't there any more, much like our own now every stand has been replaced Progress maybe, but just because its new dosen`t make it better. Will always follow City but in no rush to exp the progress............saying that will probably get to a few games.....sometime. I`ve done my time, other things now take more priority. ten minutes of rough
The intensity is just, if not more so than when I first realised I had to support them at around age 8. In a way supporting this club is a bit like having a crush on Bridget Bardot in the early years, then Blondie and so on, never quite fulfilling the expectations, and often feeling that the love is just one way. Travelling many a mile for that date only to be let down by your love not turning up, going all the way (almost) only to be interrupted by some rough looking northern bloke who smacks one in to leave you devastated, and hurt. There have been some good times in this affair, 'tis true, the night we got promoted, the fantastic couple of seasons under Dicks beating the manure, Wembley, watching the Big Man play, and NOW!!! It really is for better or worse, for richer or poorer, till death do us part.

'Orns
I love City, and I mean really ******* love City But compared to my girls, the soon to be Mrs Woodsy and my Mum - not even close. CiderHider
Nothing better than being the few at away games, players appreciate it.
Garland-sweden
Go to England and Watch City 2-3 times a season. In Sweden I listen to player. Love City.
New2City
I'm in the US... I've made 2 trips to England so far to watch City, and I tune in faithfully to Player every Saturday (and Tuesday), despite the 9 hour time difference and a 6am kickoff.
