still 1700 tickets left. Too expensive or people not that interested?

According to Dana White.. it's not the cheap tickets that aren't selling, it's not the highest price tickets that aren't selling but the middling price tickets.

Apparently there was also empty seats at Mayweather Pacquiao according to Dana. On course to break gate receipt records but PPV record in the balance apparently.

1.3 for Floyd win. Have a friend who is a sports trader who has pretty much put everything he owns on the win...

I'll be betting on that.

Probably do Floyd win by any means (poor return but pretty much a banker)

Floyd win by KO/TKO in the 6th/7th/8th - think the accumulation of punches will get to McGregor by that point

and then McGregor win by KO RD1 in case the unthinkable happens and he gets a freak knockout like the Aldo fight.

Personally think if Floyd wins then its on points cant see him having the power to KO McGregor.

If McGregor wins then it will be done inside the first 3 rounds.

But Floyd will win but only because somewhere along the line it wouldn't put it past me if McGregor has been paid stupid amount of money to let Floyd win. McGegor got nothing to lose it ain't his sport he ain't expected to win so extra money to take a lose is nothing to him. But if Floyd was to lose then he's never gonna live it down.

Blimey so he's been given a bung then ,the only reason he's fighting pretty boy is because he has hardly any power and hopes he can catch him early, imagine mcgregor v ggg he would be wiped out first round.

For what it is worth, if you treat this as the faux fight that it is, as a piece of entertainment and not serious boxing, you might come around. It isn't serious, but hey it's happening

Bit like WWF,all bs with them making buckets of money .If floyd thinks this his 50th win then he's just as deluded as the rest

ODLH has a hypocritical bee in his bonnet this morning haha

As I posted above I'm not watching tonight's exhibition match. Those who do choose to, please, please steal it from the Internet so as not to line the pockets of these charlatans!

And for any serious boxing fans who are a bit depressed by the whole affair, here is some footage of Carl Froch making a total knob out of himself to cheer you up

Cos he does. Mayweather Imo will be rusty, his timing etc will be off.

Of course he has a 'chance' - in theory anyone has a chance.

At the top level of sport, especially one with such a specialist skill set and 1v1 competition like Boxing or Tennis, there are levels and it'll show tonight I reckon.

It's totally different to football where a team can overachieve like Leicester did.

I've watched this guy a few times and enjoyed his analysis.

Good one here about the weigh in

Hey mate do you know of Jack Slack? He used to do Fightland in Vice magazine. He normally analyses mma, which is his real love, but does boxing too. The best in the business imo. Here's his breakdown of tonight for those interested, it's amazing on the technical aspects:

https://www.fightprimer.com/blog/2017/8/21/the-primer-floyd-mayweather-vs-conor-mcgregor

He has also done some incredibly detailed and interesting podcasts on the history of boxing , I think he's about the most knowledgeable man alive on combat sports.

I am a very passive casual boxing viewer, by that I mean I only ever watch the big fights.

Nothing has really caught my attention since the Hatton and Haye days. But this has proper caught my attention and I am super excited for it. I didn't even know who McGregor was a few months ago.

The point I'm trying to make is OK I can see why boxing fans are pisses off with this but I'm the perfect example of why this fight is happening.

If boxing was more like it used to be then simply this fight wouldn't be happening but the fact is there is no stand out big names that catches the casual viewers attention.

What I have noticed is the purists have completely dismissed McGregor chances. I struggle to take their views seriously because they are so biased it's unbelievable. The thought of a 0-0 MMA fighter winning this is unthinkable for them. But this is exactly why causual viewers like me are interested.

Have people forgot Mayweather once took part in WWE? OK that's fixed but Mayweather isn't as pure as the purists like to think.

In life if you underestimate someone then do so at your peril.

No worries, Slack's excellent isn't he? Incredibly knowledgeable. There's loads on his Youtube and twitter to watch and listen to as well, especially for mma fans.

I'll try to track down a link to his history of boxing podcasts, they're exceptional.

Evening all, looking forward to a distraction from the football after another disappointing result for Wednesday today.

I've ended being dragged into the build up the last couple of days, not watched any of the promotional stuff but enjoyed lots of interviews on IFL, just sat listening to the Costello and Bunce podcasts from this week before the under card starts.

Going for Mayweather in the 6th.

I'm in no way pissed off with it tbf, I just don't really view it as a serious boxing match. It's just a triumph of hype and bullshit over sense that a lot of people seem to have gone for. If you want to watch it fair play, I hope it's great and that you enjoy it- it's just not for me.

I don't even mind if Conor wins- it would be hilarious to see PBF's face because he is an utter, utter arsehole.

I will tell you this though, Floyd Mayweather Junior has never, ever underestimated an opponent.
