Boring fight, thought I was watching strictly come dancing at times.

Strange stoppage, the guy was still defending himself ok.

Boxing just ain’t what it used to be.

Thought it was a good fight!

Another shit stoppage, for sure it wasn't likely Takam was going to win but Joshua could of gassed anytime at that weight and could of got caught.

Feel sorry for Takam, the guy came in at a couple of weeks notice to fight the most frightening Heavyweight in the world only for a referee to have a mare.

Another win and another learning experience for AJ, you can not dislike the fella.

Mine did in 9th! Cracking fight enjoyed that.

Really mate? I admired Takam's attitude to the whole thing and thought he deserved to go out in his shield rather than being pulled out even though he took a few shots, but I didn't think much of it as a fight. It was probably better than the Pulev fight would have been though.

Nothing but respect for Takam, amazing performance from him imo, what a warrior.

Couldn’t get my stream back in time. Meh AJ was so far ahead so stoppage or not... good workout for AJ. Do think he looked like he was blowing a bit - maybe a stone too heavy?

I think he was definitely too heavy, not moving anywhere near as quickly as previous fights.  Bulking up is ok but he wasn't exactly short on power or unable to take a hit.  I think he'll come quite a bit lighter next time.

I don't understand why he came in so big given that he said after the Wlad fight that he was probably too heavy and muscle bound. His conditioning needs to be at a ridiculous level when he is that size. AJ seemed reluctant to throw proper combinations, it was all a bit weird.

Really surprised about his moaning after the nose nut as well ,get on with it mate ffs.

In fairness the guy did break his nose with his head!

I really don't think AJ is that special.

Willing to put my tin hat on and take the comments.

No tin hat needed,It's heavyweight boxing, nobody is special at that weight even iron mike was rolling over bums or past it fighters,if you want special fighters then don't watch heavyweights and look lower down the weights because there are plenty at the moment

The hype is often too much but the man is the unified heavyweight champion of the world after 20 pro fights and he spectacularly took out an atg in his last fight.

His last 2 fights have seen 165k people pay to be there.

I wasn't impressed with him tonight but you have to give him the credit he is due imo.

It's the heavyweight division and always will get the non boxing fans interested because they are hoping for a knockout.I don't think I'm out of turn when I say we would rather watch a lomachenko v rigo fight over a heavyweight fight

Same with all sports you wont always be at your best but you still win. Takam was a game fighter but never won a round or looked like csusing AJ any problems. Not sure the extra weight is good for him though.

No it isn't. I think he likes looking like a bodybuilder (which is a big part of his image) and eventually it'll be his downfall. You could see him breathing heavily as the fight went into the mid rounds. If he fights someone who can keep him off or withstand his artillery until the later rounds I think he's in danger of gassing out.

Takam I feel also showed how a better fighter could beat AJ. I'm not totally convinced by Joshua personally and feel he's quite overrated. What he is though is an incredibly marketable sportsman and Hearn has done a great job on that side of things.

After last night though I feel even more confident that a fully fit Fury (perhaps an oxymoron) is a nightmare for Joshua and outboxes him. I also feel that Povetkin stands a good chance too. Perhaps the most watchable fight would be Wilder vs Joshua as i'm sure it would result in an explosive KO - really hope that gets made next year.

The Whyte fight wasn't great - lots of people unhappy with the PPV due to Cordina not being shown in his home town (in favour of a ridiculous AJ eulogy) and Dave Allen missing out. I appreciate fights will always be dropped if others go the distance, but a bit of a shame and I can see why people are upset about that.

It seems a lot of you were watching the wrong stream last night .

From the Bristol Post.

Avon and Somerset Constabulary has apologised after one of its Twitter accounts retweeted a link to an illegal live stream of Anthony Joshua’s boxing fight, which showed porn in between rounds.

The Twitter account for the police’s Operational Support Team retweeted a link to the fight on the live-streaming app Periscope.

It was taken down after an hour, following complaints to both the Twitter account itself, and to the police.

The retweet meant that for just under an hour while the fight was going on, people accessing the @ASPoliceOST Twitter account were able to see a free-to-air illegal livestream broadcast of the fight, and hardcore pornography.
