El Abd

He ws never going to get into a Lee Johnson side - when he played for us against Oldham LJ's after match comments were 'he's a grappler not a footballer'. Lee did have a point as El Abd was struggling to mark his man and the way he was holding reminded me of the way Frank Bruno held Tyson in a neck lock in one of the world title bouts.   He might have been okay in a back four but he looked like he was past his sell by date and so it has proved.  Most of our permanent signings have worked out well so it's not a bad signing success / failure ratio.

He's big and he's bad , he's Adam El Abd .

Honestly we sign a nasty, street wise , fighter of a player and then get all precious because he's a nasty , streetwise , fighter of a player .

If we gave him a run in the team , in his favoured position in a back four we may even be talking of a cult hero here now .

Did you mean cult or did you get the wrong third letter ?

Having a stormer in his debut 1st half by the looks of things

As I said on another thread , watched him play against Fleetwood a while back and he had a good game at right back for them , interesting to see what he will do for a confident side doing well in the 1st div .
