Matched Betting, turning free bets into money

By my maths you will all need £265 to extract the maximum from this.

Your initial £50 bet to bet365

Then two lays @ £107.50 liability each ( One for your per match bet and one for your in game bet )

You don't need the first lay to be anywhere near £107.50 liability, no minimum odds for this offer so any good match around, lets say 1.5 will only cost you £25-£30 in liability. Then go as high as you can on the risk free bet to extract as much profit as possible.

Yes your right and I should prob had explained it better, I just used the man City match as the example through out.

I should have pointed out that it dosn't matter what your first bet is on so as Aaron-Bcfc has said just pick a game with shitty odds ( less liability ) as all we are doing here is releasing the bonus ( but make sure the shitty odds are above what they say in the bonus T&C's)

Thanks for the correction Aaron

Just out of interest does anyone have a good spreedsheet template for this ? mine sucks

There are a lot of speadsheets online.I made my own that I can send to you once I finish work? It's very basic but the formula's should be right if you use smarkets to lay.

I've been doing this for the last few times its offered.

Depending on the prices I'll either do team1 double chance post match then team 2 to win in play.

Or team 1&2 double chance then in play draw.

You can lock in a reasonable profit of normally 35 quid minimum or go aggressive and try and win big. There is something on the t&cs that says doing this breaches terms but 365 have always paid.

Essentially you buy money made about 200 quid this year, not loads but almost pays for my st :P

I'd probably recommend to just follow the instructions and do the bets on stoke v sunderland as shown here to get started straight away. There's also plenty on google if you search around.

Nice position to be in, you'll still have all your sign up offers to go through!

My partner has a set of accounts to. We started with a bank of £300 each so it doesnt take much intial funds, but having more allows you to do them quicker

You know the old saying about if something is too good to be true, it usually is? I'm not doubting any of you guys, I promise, but why are Betfair doing this? What's in it for them? As it sounds like money for nothing.

Btw I'm not a betting person so I don't understand how this industry except that you never see poor bookies! :-)

Yeah, it's good that a lot of people think like this to be honest. Otherwise the bookies would have to stop a lot of their promotions as there would be to many people doing matched betting and taking advantage of them.

It's done for people just like you and others that don't gamble much if at all.

A lot of you on this thread had no idea what matched betting was or what a lay bet was this is echoed around the world, I suspect that for everyone that knew what they were doing and took the £35 ish free cash there were 100's that didn't and lost their initial deposit plus now they have a bet365 account with an email address attached that the bookmaker can exploit with email offers tempting you back.

This thread is very interesting... have never tried matched betting before. Noticed the youtube vid, is this a good foundation to learn how to do matched betting?

If not can someone clearly and concisely (without using overly technical betting language) explain the process? There have been several different versions posted so far.

I've not watched the video but I used http://matchedbettingblog.com/

Simply put you're taking advantage of offers like 'bet £20 get a £10 free bet' by making a small loss on the first £20 but then making money off the £10. As an example Coral are offering the following 'bet £20 on Bayern vs Atletico and get £10 free in play bet on Real Madrid vs Man City' , so you can do the following.

Bet £20 on Atletico to win vs Bayern at odds of 7.00 (decimal odds) - To win £120

Bet £18.59 against (lay) Atletico beating Bayern at odds of 7.4 - To pay out (liability) £121.45 (All money won / lost on betting exchange is subject to a comission charge , Smarkets offer 2%).

So here you've lost £1.41 but you have a free £10 bet. With the free bet do the following:

£10 free bet on Man city to win vs Madrid at odds of 6.50 - to Win £55.

Bet £7.66 against Man City winning vs Madrid at odds of 7.2 - To pay out £47.49.

So you'll make £7.51 minus the £1.41 qualifying loss = £6.11

It seems long winded at the start for £6 but after a few goes it takes seconds to do it

Try the bet below for this weekend's Leicester match if you'd like to prove it to yourself that it works. You can even paper trade it if you like.

Online betting school doing a weekly updated example that you can do to get started. You can see it here. This week's example is,

You bet £10 on Leicester to win with 1 bookie.

You bet £5 on the draw

You bet £10 on Everton to win with a third bookie.

Then repeat the same sort of thing with the free bets on the Man City match on Sunday.

It's a quite an easy way to get started if you're new to it. Then if you sign up, it gradually builds up and takes you through all the sign up offers.

Once you have done the sign up offers, you want to invest profits into something like profit maximiser to show you the reload offers and casino offers etc.

I've followed the above but how do I actually lay the bet against Atletico beating Bayern as I can't see anything on Corals website to be able to do this?

The only reason is to make money FACT

This is infuriating! Okay, so Mrs Cider & I are doing this together and we've found how to lay the bet off but the odds were 1/1000 and are now suspended! I think if I fell into a barrel of tits I'd come out sucking my thumb :-(

You don't lay it on Corals website , you need to find an exchange site. Personally I use Smarkets as they only charge 2% commission but I think BetFair exchange is the most common site but they charge 5%.

You have to be careful to check the commissions on exchanges as some (Betfair) charge 5% but only on winning bets whereas others charge lower commission but on both winning and losing bets. I don't know about Smarkets as I have never used them. Also be aware that on Betfair, once you have made £1000 profit they start topping up the commission to 20% of profits and it can be more if you make a lot of profit. It is in the small print but most people don't know that. Admittedly it won't be a problem for most anyway.

Cheers, so I'm now looking at smarkets website and as I've backed Madrid to win on Corals I need to lay against Madrid? Is that right?

That's correct , yes. If you're trying to do the offer I posted about you needed to bet £20 in play on the Bayern and Atletico game to get a £10 in play free bet on the Real vs Man City game.
