Lanterne Rouge
On Sky Arts tonight at 9. I saw it when it was on before and it was excellent, loads of great interviews with the band. Well worth a watch or a Sky+.
City Rocker
An outstanding documentary on an extraordinary band. I could watch this over and over again. In fact I have
Robbored
I saw it the first time around. It was excellent and showed just how creative, single minded and ruthless Paul Weller is and how little the other two contributed with the song writing. But also how much they both were responsible for the Jam sound through their unique playing styles. It's quite possible Weller would never have got near a record deal without Bruce and Rick. I speak as a Weller fan by the way, just find it essential to speak out for the two unsung heroes of the band. The Jam gig at the Locarno in Dec 1980, the day after Lennon was killed, remains one of my best ever nights. Indeed I still possess the Heineken can Paul Weller handed to me at that show. Sad but true.

AshtonGreat
If you want to experience what The Jam were like live, go and see From The Jam, Bruce Foxton's band. He's still an amazing bassist and the lead singer/guitarist is a spit of Weller. Top band, and I met Bruce Foxton last summer, which was a humbling experience! KURTZ
Top notch Documentary. It seemed like that in the 70s, there was a great new band to discover every week. Truly great Band, and for Music, truly a great time.
