I saw it the first time around. It was excellent and showed just how creative, single minded and ruthless Paul Weller is and how little the other two contributed with the song writing.

But also how much they both were responsible for the Jam sound through their unique playing styles. It's quite possible Weller would never have got near a record deal without Bruce and Rick.

I speak as a Weller fan by the way, just find it essential to speak out for the two unsung heroes of the band. The Jam gig at the Locarno in Dec 1980, the day after Lennon was killed, remains one of my best ever nights. Indeed I still possess the Heineken can Paul Weller handed to me at that show. Sad but true.

If you want to experience what The Jam were like live, go and see From The Jam, Bruce Foxton's band. He's still an amazing bassist and the lead singer/guitarist is a spit of Weller. Top band, and I met Bruce Foxton last summer, which was a humbling experience!

Saw them at The Tunnels a couple of years ago, good night that.
