The Football Supporters Federation have an online survey that may be of interest of some to complete?

The English Football League are consulting clubs on a revamp of the competition structure called the 'Whole Game Solution'.

Of the specific proposals put to clubs, three remain on the table after news that clubs have already opposed suggestions that any new teams to enter the league come either from Scotland or are Premier League 'B' teams.

1. League Cup (ex Carling Cup) should be abolished

2. Football League Trophy (JPT or whateverthefuck) should be for the entire football league, ie. Championship, League One, League Two, perhaps including conference.

3. FA Cup as before but possibly no replays and big guns joining in the 1st round (instead of playing in a League Cup).

4. No change to the divisions other than possibly making play off format fairer for higher placed teams.

Done.

I'm not opposed to the idea of a winter break provided it's done sensibly.

At non-league level the weather conditions usually lead to a number of postponements in December and January anyway, which then causes massive fixture congestion towards the end of the season. In my opinion the sensible thing to do would be to play a few more games in the autumn, then have a formal break for 2-3 weeks from Christmas. There'd still be postponements but fewer of them.
