Instead of a secret Santa gift you could throw a few quid towards this....

First off, I wouldn't usually put this stuff on here but this being one of the few networks of like-minded people I have access to I thought it's worth a go.

A former colleague of mine & fellow city fan's, 2-year-old daughter Molly has just been diagnosed with Rett syndrome. If you're like me and don't have any medical knowledge or training & lucky enough not to know anyone else with Rett syndrome, it's a form of locked-in syndrome which affects 1 in 12,000 females and can cause severe mental and physical disabilities. It will drastically shorten the life span of poor Molly & has the following symptoms:

- irregular heart beat
- inability to feed
- loss of use of her hands
- slowing head growth
- curvature of the spine
- seizures
- loss of mobility
- floppiness and stiffness of my limbs
- breathing problems
- inability to speak and communicate even when I am in pain
- periods of distress, irritability and screaming

As the symptoms are so severe Molly will need constant care, therapy & specialist equipment to assist her mobility. All of these things unfortunately do not come cheap. I know money doesn't come easy & that's certainly the case for Molly's parents too but for the price of a secret Santa present or a half time pasty & a pint, we can all make a massive difference to Molly's quality of life.

For full disclosure Molly's mum is a City fan & has lived in the shadow of Ashton Gate her whole life. Molly's dad however is Bristolian born & bred but supports a lower league team that 'play' their matches somewhere in Gloucester.

Thanks for reading & obviously any contribution towards the appeal will help Molly & her family immensely.

Here's the Crowdfunding page https://www.justgiving.com/crowdfunding/mollys-mission?utm_id=66&utm_term=RMEmydgBb

Cheers again & COYR!

That's very kind of you (all). My admiration for our Scandinavian friends knows no end.

On a side point is Engvall any good? I still can't tell.
