Red Cloud
a great idea but how is "Football's world governing body Fifa also requested that all players wear black armbands in remembrance" any different to wearing a Poppy for remembrance? extonsred
Black armbands are a common symbol internationally of mourning - the poppy is a national emblem of rememberence of loss through wars

Tom
12 minutes ago, Nube Rojo said: how exactly is a Poppy political? It's not about the intention it's about how the poppy has been used since its inception. Issues with the poppy aren't issues with fallen soldiers, it is the whole nationalism and national outrage which surrounds the poppy and people not wearing it that is the problem.
