** Seriously though.... can't we do better than Bon bloody Jovi .....  previous Ashton Gate appearances  must mean that Bristol has more than enough Jovi Witnesses for one town already!

Surely more likely to play down your part of the world if anywhere in the South West - Westpoint?

Think the only time they have been down here was when they did a "special" at their hometown, Teignmouth, couldn't get tickets for love nor money !!

All they seem to do in u.k. is bloody cockerney land and oop north. (plus festivals)

Agreed. Devonshire boys so lots of M5 travellers, stadium specialists, can sell the place out three times over and just generally an awesome band. However if the BonJovi rumour is true, I doubt we'll have Muse.

Vaguely remember @RedM (sorry if I'm wrong!) said she thought it'll be one artist for the rockers, one for the oldies, one for the mums and one for the kids. BonJovi would fit probably 2 or 3 of those categories whilst Muse would only hit 1 or 2... Bloody shame but that's business. Target market and all that...

I'm a 62 yr oldie Peg and i demand they book muse !! (and Rammstein)

So what we can take from this, is that over that time period we will have hosted Bon Jovi more often than we have the Gas.

#TickTock #MindTheGap

Should we start seeing them as bigger rivals, then?

Pretty sure they are unbeaten v Barrow during that time, too..

They did the Ricoh a year or two ago. I remember loads of fuss where people living nearby thought it was on fire when they were rehearsing their light show the day before!

You're wrong :shifty:

Sorry people, I've resisted as long as I could. Coldplay are doing their only UK gigs this year over in Cardiff earlyish July.

If @Dollymarie can wish for Take That I'm gonna demand Coldplay!!!!

Really surprised Muse is getting such a big mention on here, saw them at Glastonbury, well I am down with da kids after all !!!:dancing6:

That`s the rumour, bookies have suspended betting on it.

If they do, Glasto Saturday headliners?

Radiohead doing the Friday.

What about them for AG?

Glasto headliners are almost nailed on to be Radiohead (confirmed), Foo Fighters (all but confirmed) and Ed Sheeran (tabloids seem to be completely sure of it). I was certain the Roses would be one of them but it seems not, wouldn't surprise me if they turned it down due to the lack of money Glasto offer.

And hopes of a third album from them are highly ambitious it seems!
