City's losing team selections - thoughts?

Not sure if we've had a close look at this before; we often have many threads looking at our 'strongest' eleven, but what about a look at the selections that are losing recent games?

Below are the recent team selections (with subs):

V Preston

                     Lucic,
Matthews, Flint, Magnusson, Bryan,
     Pack (Wilbraham 64), O'Neil,
Freeman (Paterson 76), Reid (Brownhill 75), Tomlin
                   Abraham

V Brentford

                    Fielding (Lucic 31),
Matthews, Flint, Magnusson, Golbourne (Engvall 64),
                    Pack, Smith (Tomlin 63)
      Freeman,     Reid,      Bryan,
                       Abraham

V Huddersfield

                        Fielding,
  Matthews, Flint, Magnusson, Golbourne,
Freeman (Bryan 61), Smith, Pack (O'Neil 68), Tomlin,
           Abraham, Wilbraham (Reid 69)

V Reading

                            Fielding,
Little (Wilbraham 58), Flint, Magnusson, Bryan,
                         Pack, O'Neil,
Paterson (O'Dowda 58), Reid, Tomlin (Engvall 76),
                           Abraham

V Birmingham

                                 Fielding,
Little (O'Dowda 89), Flint, Magnusson, Bryan,
                          Pack, O'Neil (Wilbraham 83),
        Paterson (Smith 82), Reid, Tomlin,
                               Abraham

V Brighton

                           O'Donnell,
Little, Flint, Magnusson, Golbourne (Wilbraham 62),
                    O'Neil, Smith (Reid 62),
             Paterson, Tomlin, Bryan (O'Dowda 81),
                           Abraham

I find it interesting looking at the above teams, and trying to pinpoint where they are going wrong.

Most of the teams look quite strong on paper, although the continual deployment of 2 holding midfielders seems to be a common gripe for a lot of us; perhaps the main weakness is not harnessing the full ability of Tomlin, who quite often has to cover the left of the pitch.

What are your thoughts, what should be changed?

And just for the heck of it, the Cardiff and QPR games (the games that derailed our early season form).

             Fielding,
Little, Flint, Magnusson, Bryan,
     O'Neil, Pack (Reid 55),
Paterson (Wilbraham 55), Tomlin, Freeman,
     Abraham (O'Dowda 80)

v QPR

                      Fielding,
   Matthews, Flint, Magnusson, Bryan,
    Brownhill (Wilbraham 58), O'Neil,
O'Dowda (Pack 58), Reid (Freeman), Tomlin
                   Abraham

Finger's crossed the team picked against Wolves won't add itself to this list!

Oooh, controversial approach for a newbie! No way LJ will go this season.

I don't fear relegation, but I am looking over the shoulder with apprehension.  However, even if we suffered the dreaded drop, I have a feeling the club would stick with LJ.

The long contract suggests they want him here for the long term.

IMHO

To help (Ignoring Transfer Window ATM)

* Make your mind up Lee about your best 11 atm

* Make a decision about the best formation & approach and only stray from it when absolutely neccessary

* GET SOME WIDTH IN OUR OFFENSIVE PLAY

Your first point is no doubt correct. Lee just can't help tinkering with his team, even it's just Bryan for Golbourne, or usually one of the attacking 3 being switched.  I'd like to see a settled City team for several matches (injuries permitting), and I'd like to see O'Dowda having a run of games under his belt.  Can he establish himself as a decent Championship player this season?
