Not quite correct, our joint record is 14 along side arsenal, pne and man Utd. Chelsea will match 14 with a win this evening taking the top flight record which had been held by arsenal on 13 matches until last week. But still every chance we may lose it the overall leagues record

Yes you are correct. So I wont be so devastated if Chelsea win tonight, however we need Chelsea to lose/draw one of the next two.  edited accordingly as above!!

Wasn't our 14 win sequence also in the top flight?

The 14 win sequence was in season 1905/06 when we finished champions of Division 2.

We also went on to be unbeaten for a total of 24 matches that season.

Man Utd were promoted as runners up that season.

City finished the following campaign in second place behind League champions Newcastle United, our highest ever placing.

Haven't TNS just created a new world record by winning 27 consecutive games? That was in their country's Premier League and beat the previous record held by Ajax Amsterdam.

As for that 1905-06 season, City lost the first game 5-1 at home and then won the next fourteen.

If this forum had been around then, think of the meltdown on the Saturday night after that first game. 14 games later someone would have posted along the lines of "This won't last as it's City; they'll still find a way of throwing it all away".

Well just look what happened just a few short years down the line. Typical City, win fourteen on the bounce and then nearly go out of business only 77 years later!

Have they? Didn't realise that, hope Ajax mark it in the same way they honoured East Kilbride FC who matched their record in Oct 2016...

City hold the record for successive wins, jointly with Arsenal, PNE and Man U.

Woah there buddy.

Call me superstitious but now might not the time to be mentioning Bristol City and records for consecutive results.... 6 down and counting...
