Been singing my own variation of 'living next door to Alice' with the change of Alice to Engvall. Still working on the lyrics though...

"Why ain't he playing, that's what we wanna know,
I guess Lee's got his reasons but I wanna see a show,
'Cause for 30 odd games, we've been waiting for the man called Engvall.
Engvall? Who the **** is Engvall?"

That would actually be funny as **** if sung by a large number of people.

Maybe a bit 'too' tuneful for most to get right though!

To be honest I would generally agree with Robbored here (that's twice in a week mate!) but I have been thinking about this for the new lads.

One of the best at the moment is the Januzaj Sunderland one to the tune of Made of Stone by the Stone Roses (a class tune by the way!). I therefore thought of this rework:

Fabiaaaaaaaan! Hegeleeeeeeer!

Joined the lads from Bundesliga,

Ones called Jens, the others Giefer,

They play behind Milan....

.....drink cider from a can.

Chants/songs very rarely burst out spontaneously , yeah occasionally , but do you ever check out the ManYoo songs. Brilliant , clever and obviously some thought and planning has gone into them. Nothing wrong with trying to think up a new song, 90% of which will be shit, but if one goes right , brilliant. Now , where did I put my pen and paper.

Jens Hegeler, woah, Jens Hegeler woah

Problem with these is they've all been done before, many times by many clubs.

We can surely do better than just pinching (in many cases very average) chants from other teams.

There's a couple of more original interesting ideas in this thread but hard to get them going at games unless persisted with as they're more complex.
