And why shouldn't he?, Tammy has lost nothing, if the story is true this poor bloke has lost his car and has had to fork out for another car that he didn't need or want, to be honest to the outsider it looks just like another pampered overpaid pussie of a footballer believing that the law of the land does not apply him and 2 football clubs both owned by billionaires washing their hands of it.

To me it's abundently clear why he shouldn't milk it, because it's immoral. We can't bemoan a compensation culture, ever increasing insurance premiums, more liability caps and just simply greater risk if we condone milking it.

Apologies if I misinterpret and by milking it you were discussing going to press and outing Tammy. To be honest I have no objection to that, but speaking of his Toyota as his "pride and joy", "I can't do my allotment": story didn't need it, why did he say it and other such things? It stinks.

Immoral?, ever increasing insurance premiums, more liability caps and just simply greater risk?.

Read all of the above all your words and who are you actually describing?, the bloke quietly driving innocently along in his car or the overpaid 19 year old who nobody has said no to since the age of 8 with no licence and no insurance driving a high powered car apparently whom the owner gave him permission (yeah right) of course another offence of aiding and abetting by the owner then.

That's what is immoral, that is what will cause insurance premiums to go up, that is what stinks.

I know what you are saying @29AR but I'm pretty sure as mentioned the journalist has put words into the owners mouth and then quoted them. Something like

'so you liked your car then, had it long have you?'

'well yes, from new actually'

'So its your pride and joy then'

'well, yes you could say that I suppose'

But what if this is absolutely the truth? Why shouldn't he be allowed to say it?

My Suzuki Samurai was my pride and joy (yeah I know), but I loved that car.  Was worth nothing but I took care of it like someone else might take care of their Bentley.

Still look for the old girl on Ebay weekly in case she's still about, weird I know but  I guess it beats stalking ex-girlfriends.

You can't judge what someone's pride and joy is by age or monetary value.

From personal experience this is pretty much how my interviews with journalist went, and when I didn't give the answer they wanted, they made it up!

Absolutely agree, in no way do I condone Tammy.

Empathise with the bloke totally and hope he gets compensated accordingly and swiftly of course. maybe it was tricky, sly journalism. If it was my mouth (thumbs) got ahead of me; but if it wasn't I stand by my opinion.

The article states that Lee Johnson was there (albeit after the incident), so it's quite clear to me. It's Johnson's fault, and is quite obviously a cover up by him.

That's it, Johnson out. It's not on :fear:

Hubby's 1st car was a mk 3 Ford Escort.

He cried when it went to the scrapper in the sky.
