22A
As mentioned a few weeks back, this year some clubs from Wales, NI and the Irish Republic were allowed to compete in the Scottish Challenge Cup. Some of the guests beat Scottish opponents and TNS actually made it to the semifinal where today they played and lost to St Mirren. Well done to the Scots for allowing the other nations to enter teams and it may have increased interest in this lesser tournament. Anyone know if they'll continue to let in the visitors next season? When some Conference teams were allowed to compete in the JPT that didn't last long.
'Orns
Pretty sure they done it last season as well - fair play to them, the Welsh clubs done ok. Not sure if the Scots clubs are taking it that seriously looking at some of the results? Could be wrong. I watch a little bit of Weslh football now and then on S4C, it's not the greatest. Whenever I've found some Scots football on Alba it's always appeared to be of a much better standard

Looking at the crowd there yesterday the locals didn't seem to buy into the tournament that much
22A
I know what you mean. In both St M v TNS and the SPL game between Killie & Aberdeen there were very few people behind the goals. Do they shut the ends if the game is televised? Pistol_Pete
All the grounds in scotland (bar 4-5) are ludicrously oversized due to old SPL ruling that stadium size has to have 10000 seats to meet regulations. Most grounds are big enough therefore to accommodate the couple of times a year the old firm visit, and even then half the teams dont sell out.
