Have to admit with all the tinkering and changes, I'm surprised Flint has been a constant. Could be the small tweak that turns our fortunes around. redapple Posted March 3, 2017 Report Share Posted March 3, 2017 I'd like to see him (Magnusson) play on the left of a back 4 with Joe Bryan at Left Wing Back and Zac Vyner an orthodox Right Back. I can never fathom out why a team has to have 2 wing backs. It seems you either play 3-5-2 ( as per Cotterill's teams) or 4-4-2 (4-5-1) ( as per LJ). Flint is an ever present in another dire season at this level Tinman85, you have hit the nail well and truly on the head. I have been saying all season long that Flint is totally out of his depth. His positional play is awful and he drags the fullback out of shape again and again leaving us exposed on the flanks. He is brushed easily off the ball and has the turning circle of a Tanker. Drop him out of the team, bring back the iceman and shore up the back.. (Mind you, little and golbourne have nothing to write home about either !)
