Thatwasclose
It seems as if as long as it won't mean a great financial loss, going to League 1 won't matter for SL which would explain why LJ is still in a job. He is making decisions based on finances rather than 'football heart' like us fans old do. I'm not saying finances should be ignored ofcourse, just that some times some owners should make decisions weighted more based on football reasons as these decisions are usually more in line with fans view. No fan will want us to go down but SL will happily go down if it means less spending on the squad in the future and 'we can build a young squad from the bottom'. How can a man not wanted by 9 out of every 10 fans be still in a job? SL holds all the cards but it is also true that no man is bigger than the club including SL, if every fan wants the manager out SL can't keep digging his heels in just because he is the one who pays him. 9 out of 10 people would have been fired by now if they performed abysmally at their jobs the way LJ has. We may not have as much money or business sense as SL but we do watch the team week in week out dare I say way more than he does! so I hope he takes the overall/majority opinion coming from the fans into serious consideration. He has already made TWO statements supporting the manager this season and thats before we were in the bottom 3, the fans have been patient but enough is enough. I would rather the next man try and fail that to keep beating a dead horse with LJ @SL you have reviewed many a chart in your career and have made huge decisions based on clear evidence/data, let me know what you think of these: Does a team with 11th highest average attendance deserve progress made as show on the second graph below? We have fallen off a cliff.... All that and we have the 3rd top goalscorer We have won 4 football games since 01/10/2016... not acceptable? According to the money men its now a toss up between us and Blackburn After all the activity this past summer we expected more surely? By the way i realise its tough to balance the books, but there are teams with higher transfer income vs spend currently doing better than us: And we should be doing better relative to our club value: I will refresh my twitter feed eagerly all day tomorrow hoping for some good news at last. Tears in rain
Overall that just shows poor management on pitch and naivety off pitch because SL is still happy to back him despite the free fall. Lot of graphs and stats as well!
Tomo
Love that analysis - there is only 1 answer, relieve LJ of his duties!
