Pulling teams in...

I think what is really useful about today's result, apart from being out the bottom three, is we've kept Burton and Blackburn deep in the mire, dragged Forest and Wolves right into it and got Birmingham, QPR and Ipswich looking over their shoulders.

Winning today by no means fixes everything but the more we can keep everyone else in the fight, the better our chances.

COYR!

Wolves, Forest, Birmingham all on worse runs than us over the last 6-10 games. None are out of it if either team start to bottle it.

Blackburn had been poor before a little revival under Mowbray, but will the new manager effect rub off?

Chances look much better today, but you can't see us getting many points from our next three games unfortunately.

I very much doubt QPR who are 9 points ahead of us are looking over their shoulder. They, Ipswich and Brum all drew today. So we only gained 2 pts on each of them, by just about beating the second worst team in the division.

We now have Hudds, Preston and Brentford to come all of whom have already beaten us this season. I would say 4 pts would be a very good return from those three.

The scrap is between everyone below and including Burton IMO. Let's not get ahead of ourselves.

Yep, QPR already have 47 points. Seen some speculating that might just be enough already. Think it will need more than that, but they are in no danger.

I reckon they're a win and a couple of draws from safety. No rival to us. Hopefully they're mathematically safe by the time we play them.

After todays results i would say Wigan now down with Rotherham and its 1 last place from 5. us, Wolves, Blackbum, Florist and Burton.

I agree. Doubly frustrating to think that the away defeats v Wolves and Forest, and the draw v Burton are right up there amougst the most frustrating results this season.

We're going to stay up on goal difference. My ticker won't take all of this.

Is that because Wigan are a massive 4 points below us?

I'm not sure Burton are 'deep in the mire' - they've got 41 invaluable points - but their run in looks daunting, they've still got to play Huddersfield, Newcastle, Villa, Leeds, Reading and Brentford...they've done incredibly well, punched well above their weight.

How big will our games against Blackburn, Wolves and QPR be?! It's gonna go to the wire....will we ever have a boring season?!

Personally think it's between you and Blackburn. Wigan will struggle to pull away from it all, they are a very poor side. Think those just above like Wolves, Forest, Burton, Birmingham etc. will do just about enough to be safe.

Jesus it's come to this mind. Lose out to Burton and be replaced by Fleetwood. F uc k me.
