Great vid.

Last time I was at Wigan (01) the away supporters were housed at the side of the pitch. One thing hasn't changed though, WAFC fans are rubbish, both in terms of numbers and vocal support for their team.

Let's hope we can kick on from here.

Myth.....in their 8 premier league seasons they averaged between 17,000 and 21,000 at home games, with a highest home crowd of over 25,000 in that time....and in their last 3 championship seasons they've averaged over 13,000 - not too shabby for a town that is much smaller than Bristol...

When walking out mingling with away fans, some were discussing rugby league

Not today it wasn't....and to take 2009/10 as an example, they were in the premier league and they averaged 17,000 at home games and had nearly 12,000 season ticket holders, that equates to 12% of their population having a season ticket...phenomenal....so their attendances are not mostly away fans...

Before Dave Whelan came along they were playing in front of one man and his dog at Springfield Park.

The club has grown through investment. So what? A town with a population less than one-quarter the size of Bristol averages 13k in the Championship. Not exactly glory hunting at this end of the division is it. Plus there are numerous PL clubs within 40 minutes - if they really were only interested in success.

Why not give them some credit for that?

I didn't say "mostly away fans", I said the majority of home games in the Prem the away end was FULL, so that would skew the att. figures .
