Red Rag
Did I watch a different game last night. BBC stats show City had 38 per cent possession Huds 62 City 9 shots Huds 12 both had 5 on target. Don't remember it seeming that way at all. Mr Popodopolous
Huddersfield had very few attacks worthy of the name so that confuses me a bit.
Reddrive
Same here. I thought exactly the same. Still, it does not matter. The stat that is important is 4 goals scored to their nil.
Tears in rain
They may have had more shots but they were all from way outside the area Billings for them had 3 from 25+ yards.
TRL
I think they are about right. We did a Leicester on them made them rush everything, got the ball two or three swift passes then forward. Retreat and attack as a unit. Huddersfield held the ball longer but ineffectively where as we broke quicker having turned them.
BRISTOL86
It was clear they dominated possession. We knew when NOT to press and largely limited them to keeping posession in non dangerous areas. Don't remember too many attacks of genuine threat. Possession % is a misleading one: Liverpool had 80+% at Turf Moor earlier this season and lost 2-0. Like many things in life, it's not how big it is, it's what you do with it. They were rushed in possession, resorted to long balls and had (that I remember ) 2 shots of note that FF dealt with well. I am surprised they had that much of the ball, it seemed when we held it it ended up looking threatening. They had a couple of decent spells of possession but I didn't think we looked to uncomfortable. Compare that to the Reading game when it just seemed a matter of time we would concede .
