I remember a night game at Colchester's quaint old Layer Road when we sang that incessantly....."we'll be running round Colchester, running round Colchester, running round Colchester with our willies hanging out..." pathetically funny! The locals didn't like the chant "We can smell yer birds from 'ere" though, the Essex boys got well upset at that one!

Sleepy1968
Do I remember a time around early eighties when the chant used to be: 'Gimme a [B*]' ----> '[B*]' *each letter of Bristol in turn 'Who's gonna win?' ------> 'Bristol clap, clap, clap, Bristol ......' I've definately got it in my head that this happened. Now I go absolutely apoplectic if I here any new signings calling us 'Bristol'. Oh, and I definately heard 'Singing aye aye Whitehead on the wing, ....'

We used to sing just that in the 70s and when thousands did it it made the hairs on the back of your neck stand up.
