Major Isewater
We all remember the stars of the teams , the Gows , Taylors and so on but who are your favourite unsung héros ? The lads that turn up , give their all for the team and hardly get a mention. Matt Hill is one for me , small for a centre back but was tenacious, read the game well and his timing was impeccable although his shooting was often wayward . The present day it's Pack . He gets himself about , keeps the opposition , passes the ball well but barely gets any glory . City through and through .

He was a classy player and useful goalscorer. Gerry Gow had the knack of finding Richie from pretty much anywhere on the pitch.

Midlands Robin
From the 90's, Rob Edwards. Always solid but played alongside a number of higher profile defenders.
Kingswoodactor
To a degree, Marvin Elliott was often overlooked. He was such an important cog in our machine for many a season.

SecretSam
Rob Newman, for sure. I don't think Terry Cooper gets anywhere near enough credit for his miracles. But 2 people put Junior Bent!?!?!?!??!?!??!? Tinman. Rarely had a bad game, but rarely stole the headlines (well, apart from that one game)

During the Div 1 days and even , in the promotion year and before. I thought he was an oK player, Cheesley , Gow etc took the headlines and wasn't fussed when he nipped off to Sun'land. Couple of years later, we're in the shit and he comes back and it was like a light was turned on. I suddenly realised what a great player he was, unselfish, hard working and passionate . Fantastic with the rag tag mix of kids we were forced to play. Played in all 4 divisions, as did Chris Garland who also came back to help us out,

The Journalist
I always really liked Luke Wilkshire. He wasn't combative or exciting enough for some, but undoubtedly a terrific athletic, superb on the ball and always reliable. 80 caps for Australia would back me up.
