The Humble Realist
http://dcfcfans.uk/topic/21303-callum-odowda-confirmed-to-bristol-city/?page=13 Has this story / link been posted before? I read the secret footballer book and in it he talks of an excellent prospect who he represented as an agent at oxford . Looks like that was our callum . Worryingly he spoke of outrageous (for the level he was at) wage demands and suggested the players parents were more interested in a quick buck than callums career. For the record I really like callum...he always puts in 100% and I think LJ has given a LOT of players ample more opportunity in front of him e.g. Freeman, patterson etc when callum hasnt had the same chance to impress. Good to see he has played in recent weeks though getting this opportunity . Anyone else aware of the secret footballer link....?

steveybadger
Not sure if the timeline fits Callum, i read it more as Kemar Roofe (although might be same issue)? Clearly Kitson as TSF
rockinredrobin
Mate I think you are correct I've read all of Dave Kitsons TSF books and he mentions the fact that ODowdas father is a pain in the arse and pushed Callum to play for Ireland when Kitson urged him not to as he rated him highly and thought he could play for England one day If you research Callum you will see he decided to play for Ireland at u21 level when England were after him
