Look up your model on youtube, there's probably an instructional video.  It is sometimes very, very simple.

I did have a look and it seems like pretty much the whole thing needs taking apart. I'm sure I could do it but I'd rather someone else did.

A number of things:

How olds the laptop, cost of the new screen etc. If it's getting on a bit, changing the screen might not be cost effective in the long run.

If you've got a spare monitor knocking about and don't need the mobility aspect of the laptop, use that with the appropriate lead and a keyboard. Might act as a stop gap while you are sourcing at new laptop.

Generally changing a screen is one of those things that anyone can do especially if the destructions are up on youtube. Might have to buy some specialist tools (generally cheap) but it is just a matter of following the instructions carefully, not rushing it etc. Might pay to get a ESD strap just to make sure you don't zap anything (it's one of those, it all depends things and that should be in the instructional vid).

Doing it yourself is generally self-rewarding: sense of achievement and realisation that it wasn't as hard as you'd thought it would be; learning experience; cheaper than sending it away; etc.

Good luck
