Talk about a journeyman To have ben appointed by three clubs suggests those clubs must se something in Russell Slade, but for some reason it didn't work out. He's not unique though. A former Ipswich player (sorry can't remember the name) became manager of Stoke and results were so bad, relegation appeared a certainty and he was sacked. He was then taken on by Colchester. Again results nose dived and he managed to relegate two teams in one season. On the playing front, remember Stern John? He didn't impress too much when at City, but he played for six, maybe eight Championship teams, so assorted managers must have seen something in him.
