RIP On the BBC website now, just a brief report confirming he has passed away and stating it was probably a heart attack. Far too young to go, thoughts are with his family. I Remember him having an absolute stormer at AG in the cup - think it was for Boro.

BobBobSuperBob
The fact that there were no posts on this thread after he was taken ill shows how shocked everyone will be by this news I like most didn't realise how serious this was as like many I guess thought , he's fit , only 44 , whatever he's fallen ill with he'll be fine ...... RedM
It just shows doesn't it even with a lifetime of being fit and having the best medical care, being around people who might notice things on a daily basis, when it's your time it certainly is. A huge shock to everyone who knew him. RIP

Major Isewater
My thoughts go out to his family and loved ones . As has been said 44 is no age to be leaving us . It's shocking how many incidents of heart failure there are amongst footballers of all ages. I suppose it is genetic and not to do with the life of a pro footballer.
