Anyone know if Dave Cotterill is allowed to play against his parent club?

What if he curled one in to send them down?

Is my script just too far fetched

Yes

Can't play.

A loan player is never allowed to play against their parent club are they? Doesn't that go without saying?

This season Patrick Roberts on loan to Celtic from man city scored against man city in the group stages of champions league.

I also remember lomana lua lua on loan from Newcastle at pompey scoring against Newcastle!

It has happened in the past.

Fair enough. You would think the parent club would always prevent it as part of the deal, strange that they wouldn't.

I think it would depend on whether they wanted to sell him to the club he was on loan at. If that club said one of the conditions of us buying him is that he is allowed to play against you then they would perhaps agree to it.
