BS4 on Tour...
I've got a lot of time for St.Pauli....and they celebrated narrowly avoiding relegation in Germany by giving 1,000 litres (264 gallons) of FREE BEER to their fans.... http://www.foxsports.com/soccer/story/st-pauli-celebrated-avoiding-relegation-by-giving-their-fans-free-beer-051417 I feel robbed now! lenred
The way they look after fans in Germany compared to England is just chalk and cheese. Fair play to them.
ZiderEyed
Wow. Corporate vs fan-owned. If there's a 1000 litres of beer involved I know what I'd rather have
allyolly
Take a look at the St Pauli website which can be translated into English if your German is not up to much. In my opinion it says everything about how you would want your club to be run. https://www.fcstpauli.com/en/club/guiding-principles/
Kodjias Wrist
Been to Hamburg couple of years back. I found St.Pauli and Hamburg fans themselves very nice. As I understand it St.Pauli although much smaller, have a large hooligan element.

Welcome To The Jungle
This is why in my opinion, no matter how good or bad you perceive SL to be, fan owned clubs are just better and I'd love us to be one.

Reminds me of a lot City fans. Football is all about the journey and emotion. The euphoria and relief of staying up is one of the best feelings in football. If you require success for a party then I feel for you. Just enjoy the journey and party when you can, as we like to leave 60 year gaps between league wins. Glad somebody mentioned this before all OTIB members start worshipping this team purely for free beer purposes. Anyone remember the Hamburg boys Union Jack No Surrender display when they played Celtic in Europe going back a few years? Was epic.

Welcome To The Jungle
One of three German clubs (along with Bayern Munich and Dortmund) that I want to visit. The club is constitutionally bound to represent the district of St Pauli and it's fans culture and politics. Add a cracking atmosphere and hey presto
Ska Junkie
I've been to St Pauli a few times and there is undoubtedly a link with Celtic plus a link with Coventry city due to the brown strip both clubs use / have used in the past. When I was there, I asked about this supposed link with rovers and the Sp support had never heard of it. It appears to be a one way association in that the Whorefield mob think there's a link but there isn't one. Blinding experience at SP / Hamburg as is pretty much any German club apart from the Bavarian pig farmers.
