Also, engvall return? Duric and Taylor? Not exactly short of talent upfront. I'd be more worried about the rest of the squad.

Would you have faith in any of those you've mentioned to get 20 goals? I think they're all good players in their own right, but after the revelation of Tammy's loan, we now need to bring someone in who can significantly fill the void of the 25 goal a season striker we've lost.

Personally don't think they'd get 25 between the four of them

This...we need to make signing a top striker a priority to play alongside either djuric or Taylor..

mclousky will imo be loaned out to a football league club and as for engvall well that just remains a mystery

Because that's obviously a more sensible figure!

**** me, football really has gone mad.

It has officially gone mad, couldn't believe it when it was being discussed on radio yesterday that Ballotelli had a £1million 'good behaviour' clause in his contract at Liverpool, so if he went a season without getting a red card or getting arrested off the pitch, he would scoop the bonus!

Just unbelievable...

It was worse than that BS4 - He got his million pound annual bonus if he didn't get sent off three times in the season !!

Only two red cards , that's fine , well done Mario , here's you're £1000,000

It's also come out that Zlatan not content with his monstrous wages and jaw dropping goal bonuses also gets a healthy bonus for very assist (Something like £18k a time !!!!)

Clearly these substantial bonuses are a lot more common than we think @BS4 on Tour......

Roberto Firmino

With a basic weekly wage of £68,085, Liverpool forward Roberto Firmino isn't anywhere near one of the top earners in the Premier League, and is most likely not at the top-end of the wage bracket at his club if we're going off standard weekly earnings.

However, the Brazilian has no problem making his money because of specific performance-related bonuses that were inserted into his contract when he signed from Bundesliga side Hoffenheim in 2015.

Back in December, German journalist Michael Reis, who writes for Sport BILD, got his paws on some information on the Liverpool No.11's contract.

He reported that Firmino would be entitled to several payments once he scored a certain amount of goals (excluding penalties) for the club.

His first five goals this season saw him rewarded with a £25,000 pay-out every time he found the net, and it got even better when he got a massive £45,000 bonus for goals between 6 and 10.

If he manages to take his tally to 16 and above in the last couple of fixtures, he will receive £85,000 for every goal he scores according to Football Leaks: The Dirty Business of Football

Firmino is now on 12 goals for the campaign for the season, which means he has received two separate payments of £65,000 as part of the deal for goals between 11 and 16.

But he also rakes in big bucks if he lays a chance on a plate for the teammate and they then find the net.

In terms of assists, Firmino has pocketed an incredible sum of £190,000 for the six instances he saw a teammate finish off an opportunity he set up. Breaking it down further, the 25-year old made £31,000 for every assist he supplied.

Not a bad little contract Firmino has got himself there, is it?

He's not the only one to have bonuses for providing the goods on the pitch, though, as details of Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Paul Pogba's contracts came to light a couple of days back.

In the upcoming German book, figures of Zlatan Ibrahimovic's Manchester United wages emerged - with the player picking up a tasty £367,640-a-week.

It would be nice but I think we need to accept that Tammy is an exceptional talent and had a fantastic season .

We need to address our defensive side so that we don't need 25 goals from a striker just to stay up but a more normal 15-20 goals from two main strikers and a higher contribution from midfield and the odd goal or two from our back line should see us progress .

To win every match one nil we'll need 46 goals from somewhere . That should be the base of our plan.

Jaw dropping! It's almost like their agents just suggest anything, pluck figures out of the air and grin smugly to themselves when the club bow down to ridiculous contract clauses....and I thought the players looked happy when they score or assist a goal because they are pleased that their team is doing well and are chuffed for the fans....yeh right!

People slag off Harry Redknapp for his throwing of money around

When he signed Defoe for Pompey , Defoes mum was 'representing' him (!) and wanted a healthy goal bonus for her boy , on top of his £55k / week salary

Harry wasn't having a moment if it and told her in plain terms

'That's what we're paying him £55k a week for Mrs Defoe'

Well said Harry

Garita.

Good one.

Rather like your Lucic for the first team posts, unless this is meant to be a joke, what exactly is this based on?

Arnie scored 2 goals in League Two last season (that in a team that went up!) and was injured as often as he was fit.

I think it was a great story when we signed him but he is basically a League Two player at best.

Of course Garita isn't the replacement. But he's better than McCoulsky
