Red Army 75
Not surprised by this. Wish him all the best . Never worked out how we thought it would. Back to Middlesbrough I reckon . That's football for you.

Jerseybean
LT's grammar appears to be just as inconsistent as his performances......
Major Isewater
Always plays his cards close to his chest that one . What's the betting on a return to Boro , of the Middle kind . Sad but best for all parties if he moves on as he doesn't fit in with our style of play .
Londoner
just couldnt find a system for him.
Phileas Fogg
Looks like he's off. We never saw the best of him last season but if we're playing a more settled version of 442 I'm not really sure where he fits. Seeing as he's on a significant wage, maybe it's for the best. In the right side, he'd excel. I don't think we're adept enough at this to level to afford a player like Tomlin.
Red Army 75
Also free some decent money and wages up . On we go
Lrrr
If a team has come in for him hopefully we've at least been able to recover most of what we paid last summer. Cracking player to watch just a shame he couldn't fit in a system here.

ciderbeans
Make the money back we spent on him and free his wages up for elsewhere would be a good deal
BobBobSuperBob
#Shock Was of no use here the way he was performing, always going to end in tears with a young coach
Davefevs
Not sure we will get all of the fee back, but that might depend on who wants him. Good luck to him. Not been a fan over this season, but the performances on occasions were a delight. The goal the season before was the best I've seen at AG. City fan 1982
So far none of the players he worked with at Barnsley are rushing to play for this up and. Coming boss
Meh
Great - back to boring, mundane, predictable football with a team of runners and little skill on offer. Who needs entertainment when you can get results. To think we criticised Wigan and their predictable 1-0 wins !!
Tears in rain
I reckon back to Boro then hopefully we re coup as much as we can from the transfer fee. Still more wages freed up you would assume.
Bs4Red
Happy about this, frees up money for someone who wants to be here and be a good player. Shame because LT is such a talent but has proven why he's constantly been shipped out by clubs.
cityloyal473
If true, I can't work out if I'm happy or sad. On his day he is unplayable and worth the admission fee alone. On his bad days he's an absolute hindrance to the team. There is no in-between with him. Probably best if he goes though.
kevthered
Apart from his goal against Huddersfield he has done very little this season so best let him go and get somebody who wants to be here
iamalagerdrinker
Gutted, but it's probably the right move if i'm brutally honest. The pace of which we've been playing at recently would of been to quick for him, he always seemed to slow the game down a little and either be selfish or do something amazing. If he goes to a promotion chasing side he will tear it up . But u just can't carry a player in a relegation fight.
TV Tom
How come teams come in for our creative players and we get left with the donkeys?
Eddie Hitler
What a shame. Well that's two superbly talented footballers in Lees Tomlin and Trundle that we've signed and utterly failed to use properly. This is Ashton Gate, we'll have none of your fancy ball trickery here! Vincent Vega
The Fulham and Huddersfield goals alone make his stay here worthwhile imo.
