Especially on those colder days. Some Diesel engines won't even get to peak performance in that time frame; this is reflected in a hindered performance of the 'cat', leading to a increased chance of high cost repair and also potential for long term (and again) on-going performance related faults/issues. As for the Q3, I'd also say to consider a Tiguan. Thank you CH, funny you should say the Tiguan as thats the one I really like, especially the new style. We'll see. Funny that. Same sort of issue with VAG dealer, they cited an MoT failure (£££££'s) issue on a pre check. Took to another garage and passed. Went back for a service at VAG (which includes visual check) six months later and no reference made to the issue. Did complain to VAG via their customer feedback, heard nothing. Pity really, as the cars are decent and internal space/design, quality of materials are class-leading by a massive margin.
