Anyone else checked out the cost of travelling away for Guernsey friendly. No direct flight from Bristol, have to fly from Birmingham, £100 return to fly.and nearly £200 by ferry.think I'll give it a miss.wait for Yeovil I think.

I am a request flyer to Guernsey from Bristol. Have you looked up Aurigny, Guernsey based airline not cheap though

Getting to the Channel Islands is probably more expensive per mile than getting anywhere else in the world. Even for me to go to Guernsey from Jersey is silly money.

Think the Isles of Scilly take that award.

Flyby from Exeter, but still not cheap. Best value is Condor ferry from Poole. Park up and go as foot passenger.

The Condor Liberation takes about 3 hours and on Saturday doesn't get in until 14:00, an hour after kick off! If you go by foot on Friday and come back Saturday evening, it's £108. The cheapest is £55, which is the Condor Clipper and takes about 7 hours each way. Then you need somewhere to stay Friday night. Camping is about £10 per night, B&B's about £60 per night.

I travel to Guernsey regularly to see family and it is a monopoly held by Condor Ferries. They charge what they want, only bonus is the duty free shop on board.

Jerseybean Just looking at it, £32 day return, that's not bad, think I may go :)

That is good value, I take it that's with Condor? Quite bizarrely there is no day trip with Condor from Jersey - Guernsey on 8th July so I'd need to fly at a cost of £96 return for a 20 minute flight each way!

Well, what a waste of money Famara is proving to be!
