Does anyone remember this every summer back about 5-10 years ago where all the clubs played in groups before knockout finals day..city were in it a couple of times and the likes of Marcus Stewart and tinnion played for us.

cant remember what it was called but loved it and was great during these boring summer months.

amyone know why they cancelled it? Seemed to have good actual and tv attendance

Just looked it up - it apparently stopped in 2011 due to lack of people going to watch it. Can't believe it was that long ago. I think they only had one year for south west/wales group

didnt we win it?? or am i imagining that,

We won the regional Tournament with Bristol Rovers, Cardiff and Swansea involved. IIRC Hammered Rovers 4-0. Beat Swansea and Cardiff 3-2 I think.
City brought quite a following for it.

We definitely won our regional one which put us through to the national finals. Just checked and in the national finals we lost in the quarters to Wolves, who went on to win the tournament.

EDIT: Found this which shows what happened in the regional one. Picture of our team too.

Who is the keeper and wtf happrned to his nose?

It looks like he borrowed it from Alex Ferguson, snorted some pollen, went 10 rounds with David Haye and then put it in a bees nest - looks more like a STI bell end !!

His name is Dave Mogg ex City and very well known non-league player and manager. He's a regular at Ashton Gate nowadays so perhaps you can put your question to him personally........good luck.

Lol, can remember Moggy getting into a right ding dong with support behind his goal giving him stick, to compound his misery Weston got an injury time winner

Forty years ago there was an annual 5 a side tournament, but only for clubs in Division One. Back then though that included City. We lost 3-0 in the first round to ........ Wolves.

Did they have a veteran striker named Steve in their team by any chance?
