The official Brentford FC v Bristol City FC match day thread

We were definitely poor tonight, and while I don't like using this word, we were definitely lucky to get that goal at the end. Then again, Bobby's proving to be great and credit where credit is due. Nevertheless, once again we appear to score and then fall back, and the domination Brentford showed was unnacceptable. Team did well to prevent an equaliser before half-time but failed to make the neccesary improvements at the start of the second. That definitely needs work. Still, at least we've got something. Lee Johnson deserves a good fifteen to twenty games before any decisions regarding his tenure are made. Marathon not a sprint, etc. COYR.

Good character from the boys, but as has been said, just papering over the cracks, Brentford should have been well ahead and would have been if not for some great saves from Frankie. LJ needs to learn how to change the game sooner and not later, as next time he may not be so lucky.

LJ you got very lucky tonight, but it needs sorting Patterson and Brownhill are far to naive at this level, defensively and in dangerous positions both constantly turning into danger.

Apart from the fact we kept on to the end only Smith comes out of this game with any credit for the whole 90 minutes.

Diedhiou had a mare. if Engvall can play worse than that he must be shit.

Can't wait to hear LJ's version of events.

Let's not kid ourselves, that was men against boys. A pathetic performance, and hardly one that feels me with any optimism for what's to come. As for the second goal, what the hell was Korey Smith doing? He looked absolutely ******, walked back and pretty much had his hands on his knees taking a breather when they shot. Pathetic!!We need some real bite in that midfield.
