Final count 1174 millwall fans have bought tickets for the Atyeo end

No surprise really, it can't be much fun following them away. They'll get met, kettled, shoved in a pub, and escorted by ob in full riot gear to the ground.

l know people will say they deserve it, but it doesn't encourage decent fans to travel, hence they're stuck in this time warp with only the nutters interested in travelling.

I expect a lot of families can't be bothered with all the hassle.

I`m sure I read in the week that the club have made it much more difficult to get away tickets and they have to jump through loads more hoops to get one. Presumably Millwall want to try and avoid being dragged through the mud after the Wembley playoff fiasco and would rather have less there but less trouble.

Makes sense. I know the authorities are always threatening clubs . But maybe they've had one warning to many. And the club needs to showing it is taking action.

I agree, it would be a nice first step if they would stop fighting the police on the way to the ground then they may be allowed a little more freedom when travelling.

It does. I think Wembley was the final straw for the owners - especially when they`re in this battle with Lewisham Council and their `preferred developers` to avoid having a compulsory purchase order slapped on The Den. They need public support for that and the borough is becoming increasingly gentrified so it`s getting more and more difficult to get that as a lot of their core support has moved out to Kent.

Parallels with BS3? I think @Olé lives in New Cross (not sure if he`s the only living boy there or not!) and has posted quite a bit about their plight on here.

I would have expected at least 18k. Other than wigan at home did we ever get below 17k on a saturday?

There will be at least 18k , Millwall  just short of Barnsley numbers , and we had 18.75 k , no reason to think that much less

Is he? I know the `Last Tango In Brixton` shows in 2014 were the last Carter USM shows (gutted I couldn`t get a ticket) but didn`t realise he was still out there.

He played an acoustic set at the Gallimaufrey a few years ago. Was fantastic. Think he's played the Thunderbolt more recently. Not sure what he's doing now though.

So pretty much like a visit to Cardiff or Birmingham for us then. Except they get the same thing everywhere they go? That's going to attract the away fan with a certain mindset isn't it? Self fulfilling and shortsighted.
