Pack  . surely clubs are looking at Marlon.  Top top player

In other words, add to the 5 mill plus list & keep ALL your best players

Pack worth 5 million? I'm not so sure... nor am I for Flint.

He's a tidy player don't get me wrong, but he doesn't weigh in with enough goals or have that turn of pace to demand that type of money...

Now Bryan on the other hand. He's a player.

Love Pack, always have even when quite a few were having a right go. A bit of a Marmite player maybe, Pack on toast for me all day long..  Great today Marlon, well done my man

If Pack is Marmite - Bryan is mustard.

I do rate Marlon but nowhere near Joe in my opinion in terms of ability.

Does it excite anyone else how many Bristolians we have in and around the team? Lloyd Kelly is from Bristol as far as I know, Bobby and Joe both are, I think its great.

Joe's work is more obvious to see, but Marlon's is major and make no mistake

Did you see his programme notes today? Spoke really highly of the City and the club, got a good taste in music on him too. Top fella.

Thought Pack, apart from one blip second half, was excellent today. Changed my view of him from 18 months ago.

Credit to LJ?

Reid a 5m player?

I know of someone who got slaughtered for saying that.

Exactly - wasn't it also with the caveat of 'if he adds goals to his game' - he has, and now look.

In this market, at his age - if we sold him right now I'm certain it wouldn't be for below £5m.

Pack lacks assists and goals.

Is that his job though? We are top scorers in the league. A bit like saying that Harry Kane is a shit defender

Smith is hardly prolific either - don't think their job is to be our creative outlets anyway.

I did notice Pack trying more shots than usual today, good to see because we know he can hit the ball well.

For those that play FIFA, you know you're having a good day when Marlon starts pulling out the Berba Spin to lose his man.

Pack had a superb game yesterday. While Korey carries the ball forward more, Marlon is the guy whose long passes unpick their midfield and take the ball into the final third.

Just a shame he didn't take his best chance when he was through on goal quicker. He showed no such hesitation when he was in worse shooting positions!

Bryan looks like he is cruising most of the time, very impressive

Yep looks too easy for him so far this season. Think we need to enjoy him while he's here, unless of course we get promoted but not super likely

According to the ratings on whoscored.com Joe Bryan is now equal with Sol Bamba as the highest rated player in the Championship so far.

Imagine lower end Premiership teams will be sniffing around him soon, what a player he is becoming.

Amazed still at how people don't rate Pack. Had a guy behind me wanting him subbed as "I just don't rate him so sub him". Made seasoned pro Huddlestone look like an amateur. He's constantly looking for the ball into the space between midfield and defense and often disguises them really well. Also wins most things in the air in midfield and tackles back. Massive upgrade on what we had before Skuse imo.

Have rated him for a long time and glad to see he's improved over the last year. He's in a similar situation to Skuse in that some rate him and others don't know what he does, but when they leave the fans beg for a player like him.

If you watch City as a unit and don't ballwatch, you see how fantastic a player he is. If he ever leaves (god forbid) then those who don't rate him will see what he does for us as a team/

Like Cisse, a lot only notice him really when he`s not playing and wonder why we`re not performing as normal.

I don't think we missed skuse at all when he left. An awful player.

Pack gets better all the time and is in a whole different class to skuse and I would argue is a completely different player.

There has for a long time been a procession of threads on OTIB which denigrate the performance of Joe Bryan and Bobby Reid, and the performance of Bristol City's academy.

Its pleasing to see that those threads were, and are a nonsense.

Marlon does do quite a lot that sometimes goes unoticed but I think he could be a little more consistent.  I guess it depends wh he is up against and how well the system is working on the day.  He does seem to have a few off days though.

Very similar to Leeds at home last season when he scored. No idea why he didn't shoot on Saturday.

Bryan and Reid. Anybody still want to scrap the academy?

At this rate, Bryan and Reid will earn us a tidy sum in 9 months time.

As for Pack, recently described to me as a poor man's Tom Huddlestone. Which he is, i.e. excellent technique and football "brain" but just not mobile enough.

City will make big strides once he is replaced by someone with his intelligence and skills who can actually get around the pitch at speed. For now though, while we try to consolidate as a mid table team, I'm sure he has a part to play.

Plus he seems a good bloke (even if he made sure his boy wasn't born in Bristol - don't start!!)

Indeed. Not just those either. A decent crop from the years behind them too.
