Yep! Did anyone else notice there was zero segregation at Huddersfield v Spurs....no empty seats between the two sets of fans whatsoever, just a couple of stewards on the stairs....how can done clubs achieve this whereas we have always seemed to be so determined to keep huge spaces between fans in the past?! .....obviously it's not as big an issue now with the Atyeo Stand being entirely for away fans but am I right in thinking it will never sell out as the front few rows have to be kept empty?!

I doubt our safety certificate is granted based on our actual capacity.

Oh it would. There is many things they could do throughout the ground to sell as many tickets as possible.

But we wouldn't be allowed to sell 27,000 because our safety certificate won't be granted based on 100% of seats being sold.

Below is copied from the os. I assume they know how many seats we have.

THURSDAY, MAY 4TH 2017

The attendance for City’s Sky Bet Championship final day clash with Birmingham City will be the largest league crowd at Ashton Gate in 37 years.

Not since the Division One days of 1979/80 has a league fixture in BS3 attracted so many supporters to City’s home.

At present the crowd for Sunday’s season finale has eclipsed the 25,000-mark. That leaves just under 300 tickets left available before the club put up the sold out signs.

The fully-redeveloped Ashton Gate has a seated capacity of just over 26,459, but a number of safety restrictions have been placed on Sunday’s fixture.

If sales continue at their current rate, a capacity crowd of 25,292 is anticipated. Of that crowd, a massive 15% is under the age of 12, a demonstration of the club's continued focus towards growing its next generation through Forever Bristol City memberships.

The only other two matches to eclipse the 25,000 figure since 1980 have been in the League Cup and play-offs. They are:

- February 1989, 28,084 in League Cup semi-final L2 v Nottingham Forest
- May 1988, 25,128 in Play-off final L1 v Walsall

City’s highest league crowd before that came against Liverpool in March 1980, when 27,523 packed into Ashton Gate to watch the then two-time European Cup winners take on Alan Dicks’ side.

This is also the highest ever attendance at Ashton Gate as an all-seater stadium.

There is no guarantee that tickets will be available on the day of the game, so to secure your seat for Sunday’s match, call 0117 963 0600 or book online.

Meanwhile, season cards for 2017/18 will go back on sale from 10am on May 15th until May 31st. Full details and pricing will be announced tomorrow.

What a bizarre statement!

"Just over 26,459" so 26,500 then..?!

What happened last season then to all the electronic boards at the stadium welcoming everyone to our 27,000 seater stadium. was that fabrication?

I'm sure there is a capacity of that, but it couldn't ever be that many for football.

Either that, or there is a certain amount of poetic licence allowed in rounding up the capacity figure.

Not going to be 27k whatever happens. Segregation sees to that. As for promotions can't see them doing it for a game that will sell well anyway.
If we beat Burton and continue the good form, and Leeds fill their allocation (which I'm sure they will) then I think it will be 25+ , but we won't get 27k unless we get a good cuptie where they feel comfortable giving the whole Atyeo away, a game like a Liverpool then we might.

What segragation is needed????

Leeds have the whole of the Atyeo, they are no where near our lot in the Dolman and the Lansdown?

The 2 lower outer blocks (nearest Dolman and nearest Lansdown) will be netted off.

What he said

They aren't getting the full end , so some seats will be out of bounds.

Still three weeks until this game and less than 2000 home tickets left. Surely @Mkelly, this would be a perfect opportunity to get the top tier open early to see what happens?

No excuse here. If we cant sell out for Leeds in a top 5 clash there is something wrong.

You watch those fookers grab tickets in home areas

The one thing the club should do for this game is just get the top tier of the Lansdown on sale from the get go.

If it doesn't sell, then it will back their case when it's called for in future, but let's give everyone every option for getting to this game. No excuses!

@Mkelly- any chance of some sort of response if you can find out? This really should be an option for this game in my opinion.

Well they weren't in the home stands last season, and if they were they kept their heads down, perhaps they've learnt their lesson.

Of course they will keep there heads down. Weather your proud of our reputation or not Bristol City Fc is certainly not a club to come down too and start taking the piss at..your going to get a slap as that Leeds fan found the other year as he went tumbling down the dolman steps..

As for the att i think it will be over 24 k
