Not bothered if Brian turns up tomorrow and plays as our twelfth man and we beat Leeds.....

tbh I'll be blown away if we get all three points ... wont you?  COYR's & Brian!!! :)

# Brian us our 12th man, ..Brian is our 12th man... la, la, la lah.... la, la, la, lahh!!! #

You wont be singing that if somehow by sheer stroke of misfortune, the ref is Leeds 12th man.

Its not 50mph winds, its 50mph gusts, massive difference.

You could get 1 50mph gust in 1 hour that said "gust" lasting only 1 second. Huge contrast to 50mph "sustained" winds. Could everyone be on board here?

Lets not get blown away over this forecast. Gusts of wind is a total different kettle of fish. Winds tomorrow will be 23mph sustained winds which in my opinion is faff all, but the gusts are still forecasted to be up to 53mph. These "gusts" may never happen, or you could get 5 of them in 10 minutes.

We're expecting fish as well ? But different ones ?

Is that good or bad? A constant wind would be easier to adapt to - e g if it was a constant 50 mph wind, the players playing against it would be able to lean forward at a constant angle (15 degrees?) to compensate. With variable winds players would have to continually vary the angle of the lean. Also, taller players will have greater difficulty adapting to variable winds as they have greater wind resistance compared to shorter players. When it’s gusting, they will be forced backwards more than when the wind is lower. The solution is to drop any player taller than 5’ 10” for this match and replace them with shorter players.

I was driving for City Line on that night on the 24/25 route Lockleaze to Whitchurch and a 6 foot high fence panel blew across the road in Lockleaze and just missed the front of the bus, scary!  The next day on the same route most of Lockleaze houses had roof tiles off and loads were broken over the roads.  Never seen anything like that since the Great Storm.  The storm that is due has been named Brian by the Irish and they will get the first impact again, the luck of the Irish eh.

That storm caused thousands of pounds of improvements. :)

So, this Brianstorm, is it Artic Monkeys out or what?

Not sure Glyn, the spelling's a bit awry but this bloke seems to be the accepted expert on the subject.

Especially pertinent today as it was written by Old Bite Yer Legs between seasons too.
