Don't really understand the negativity towards Lee Tomlin....most people seemed to want him to stay when he was on loan, he helped keep us up, scored a few very memorable goals, and lots of people (including some on here) were waxing lyrical about his skills and saying he was one of the most talented players they'd ever seen at The Gate....I personally won't forget his late free kick away at Fulham which helped clinch our safety in this division (not League).....if people are bothered by his 'off field activities' then they would despise quite a large number of pro footballers.....just don't understand the hate now when he was nearly worshipped by some not so long ago.

Perhaps it's just because he joined Cardiff...

Last season he helped us stay up by not playing. That did the trick

Not sure how the planned silent treatment will work out.

He seems to be the most talked about player on this board.

The criticism and jokes about him on here are a bit embarrassing to be honest... Wouldn’t be surprised if he has a good game tomorrow, the most talented player I’ve seen in a City shirt and I’ll remember him fondly even though it didn’t work out.

Interesting to see the reaction he gets, we all know he is a great talent when interested and its going his way, but next to useless once the dummy goes out the pram. Think a lot of our improvement is down to him going.

Started thinking of song for him, although sure others will come up with something much better

He fat hes round, He f-cked the nannny all around - tubby tomlin, tubby tomlin

He fat hes round, he punched a guy on the ground - tubby tomlin, tubby tomlin

He fat hes round, the judge will send him down - tubby tomlin, tubby tomlin

He fat hes round, he will get shagged and passed around - tubby tomlim, tubby tomlin

Cardiff City star Lee Tomlin has been sentenced to 80 hours of community service for his part in an early-hours brawl which left a man with a badly broken jaw.

Fellow footballer Billy Kee, a forward with League Two side Accrington Stanley, was fined £350 for throwing a punch during the same fight, which was captured on CCTV.

Tomlin, 28, admitted affray after prosecutors decided not to proceed with a wounding charge following a review of footage showing the victim squaring up to the players after jumping over a set of railings.

Leicester Crown Court was told Kee, 26,who pleaded guilty to common assault, attempted to pull his friend Tomlin away from the confrontation in the city centre on January 22.

Both players had been accused of causing grievous bodily harm but were cleared of the charge on the orders of the judge.

It might take him years to do 80 hours.

He can't do 90 minutes.

Lee Tomlin has just put the following message on Instagram regarding the game tomorrow:

Personally don't have a problem with him...it didn't work out, it does not with a lot of players...move on.

he gave me some great memories in particular that goal where he chipped the defender with his right foot then smashed the ball in the net with his left.
