Team for Fulham

Assuming we won't want to risk Baker reckon we should go with:

Fielding or Steele

Pisano, Flint, Wright, Bryan

Brownhill, Pack, Smith, COD

Taylor or Djuric, Reid

I can see the argument for starting Djuric, but also the argument for keeping him back on the bench if we need him. COD should play on the left not the right, Pato is not fit based on Sunderland performance so don't play him.

Don't think there is an "either or" in goal, Fielding will start.

Up front is the real dilemma, Taylor is not a natural partner for Reid and Djuric isn't match fit. I'd go with the big Bosnian for an hour and bring Taylor on when he starts to tire.

Agree 100% with the rest.

It'll be the other way around I reckon.

Taylor to start and then bring on Djuric after an hour or so.

Thats what happened at Sunderland on Saturday anyway.

there aint many options anyway what with all these injuries etc...can we fill a subs bench?

The short answer  is easy Yes.

However fitnessof Smith, Djuric Pato and Taylor is key.

This is going to be an interesting team as we don't know what knocks we have since Saturday.

Odowda had a stormer but Pato was a bit off. I expect.

Fielding

Pissano

Wright

Flint

Bryan

odowda

Pack

Smith

Brownhill

Taylor

Reid

To start but who knows outside of the camp who is start fit

(Don’t risk Baker - prefer him to be fully fit for Cardiff. Ease Djuric back - to come on as sub. COD on left please!)

This would be my pick and agree with the Baker and Djuric comments too.

I'd play Pack in central midfield with Brownhill on right. Pato up front with Reid.

On the bench, Vyner, Magnússon, Kelly, Leko, Duric and Taylor, plus of course Steele.

Aim is to get a point and grab three if we're lucky.

Pack should start no question.

I can't see Pato up top. That's not utilising  his strengths at all.

Got to be Taylor/Reid to start up top with Djuric on after an hour or so.

If Korey is fit and josh brownhill starts don't be surprised to see marlon on the bench.

Fulham were knocked out of the EFL Cup by the blue few.

If we only draw, or heaven forbid lose, that equates in gas logic land that we are therfore not as good as them.

Believe me, that would happen in their minds.

Notwithstanding the fact that we have just passed the 17th anniversary of our superiority.

I really hope we win tomorrow, for many reasons more than the above.

Up The City. Let's not have a horror show on Halloween.

I would start Leko on the right instead of Patterson - I know about his assists record but he has been a bit out of the last 2 or 3 games and not sure he is fully over his illness and back to strength.

Duric and Patterson as double impact sub after 60 mins - if needed.

To me Pack is essential In his unglamorous role as a defensive midfielder. The  role strengthens City ability to limit the opposition  goal scoring opportunities - especially away from home.

Id be very surprised if he doesn't start.

I would start with: Fielding, Pissano, Flint, Wright, Bryan, Elliasson, Brownhill, Smith, COD, Djuric, Reid.

That's assuming Patts and Baker are not 100%. Don't think it's worth playing them if they are not. Elliasson and COD would have someone to really aim at in the box.

I know you've said that is what you would go with... but no way is Eliasson starting tonight.

Taylor instead of Djuric (who could be not 100% fit yet) and I agree.

Personally, think we're better starting with Djuric and Bringing Taylor on. I feel we're more likely to get a foothold in the game and a lead with him starting + Taylor will be more effective with Reid if Fulham are chasing the game.

how can you not have our most creative player (the championships most creative current player) in the side,

Pato is fit he plays

Thank god you are not the manager.

Players lose form, go off the boil, struggle with niggling injuries etc.

Stats are great but they are historical ultimately and in the here and now, he ain’t on it to the same degree. A rest and a re-focus may help !!
