Judda
1) how many different managers has Bobby played for? 2) did any of them ever play him as a striker? (Other than Lee Johnson before you say it!)
pongo88
Bobby Etheridge played for Gloucester City, Bristol City and Cheltenham in the 50s and 60s, so I’d guess he had at least 6 or 7 managers. None of them played him as a striker

YCbrs
I am pretty sure Bobby has never been played as an out-and-out striker in his career before, think he has always been considered more of a no. 10 if anything? Correct me if I'm wrong but pretty sure that's right.
wendyredredrobin
Im sure he played as a striker under Matt Busby and Alf Ramsey.
redysteadygo1
I suppose 'Bobby' could be compared to former midfielder Bobby "Shadow" Williams.
JBFC II
5 I'd guess, Millen, Mcinness, SOD, Cotteril, Johnson
Phileas Fogg
Whilst he's been around the first team - there have been 6 managerial spells.. Millen Coppell Millen Del O'Driscoll Cotterill Johnson I make that 6 managers (Millen appearing twice) he's been here under. I don't think he played under Coppell but has appeared for everyone else - makes that 5 if you discount 1 or 2 game caretakers. And no, I think this is the first time he's played as a striker in men's football.
cheshire_red
I followed his loan at Plymouth a few years ago, he often played in an advanced position just behind Reuben Reid who was the lone striker

Millen 1.0 was a bit different as IIRC, he was manager until the end of the season and even was looking at the permanent role before Coppell was appointed. Pemberton was never a serious option for us as manager I don't think.

Sorry @GrahamC I will go and check that now. It was the 1st of October, I was close. You're right @GrahamC Google is amazing isn't it?
