Unfortunately, it's their way of life and environment. Their amendments are set & stone, to which they have the right. I've talked to many US citizens and most of them are pretty aware the tackle on gun control is nigh on impossible to come to a sensible solution. Gun Control in the US would not work anyway, thousands & thousands of illegal firearms pass through the US every week, and unfortunately have been used during recent attacks. Bottom line. The American constitution says you have a right to bear arms as part of a militia but the gun lobby have managed to get the US Government to overlook this. Only the American people can change things, if there was a significant majority of Americans against their present gun laws who are prepared to protest continually against those gun laws the law would eventually change, but the rest of the world knows that will never happen, if enough people protested about the bizarre electoral system, the system would change, it's not as if America has not had a lot of practice at electing morons for the third time in 5 elections America elected another moron and in between they twice elected a president whose power was so diminished in his 2nd term he more or less gave up, the system sucks.
